Suzuki Swift Gets a Splash of Drama with New Dual-Tone Paint
Suzuki’s Swift has always been the plucky underdog of the hatchback world—small, fun, and with just enough attitude to make you wonder why anyone bothers with bigger, pricier cars. And now, in a move that screams "look at me," Suzuki Auto South Africa is cranking up the style dial by introducing three new dual-tone paint options.
Launched in South Africa in November 2024, the fourth-generation Swift already looked sharper than its predecessor. It sports L-shaped signature lamps, a blacked-out oval grille, and a clamshell bonnet that gives it a properly aggressive stance. At the back, it’s got sculpted 3D LED tail lights and a wide-set bumper, making it look as if it's permanently flexing in the mirror at the gym.
Previously, Swift buyers had seven eye-catching colours to choose from, including Luster Blue Pearl, Sizzling Red Metallic, and the wonderfully named Magma Grey. Now, Suzuki is adding a bit more pizzazz with three new dual-tone options:
- Arctic White Pearl & Black Pearl
- Luster Blue Pearl & Black Pearl
- Sizzling Red Pearl & Black Pearl
Yes, there’s a theme here—Black Pearl accents on the roof and side mirrors, because nothing says “sporty” quite like a contrasting roofline. It’s the automotive equivalent of putting on a tuxedo jacket over your everyday clothes—instantly cooler, no extra effort required.
Suzuki’s marketing boss, Brendon Carpenter, reckons these new paint options will attract customers looking to “stand out from the crowd.” And he’s got a point. The Swift has always been a favourite among young, energetic drivers, and this paint job gives it just a little more swagger on the streets.
