It’s not every day that we get to see beyond the ferocity and determination of a rising fighter. For this issue, I had the privilege of following Cameron Saaiman—an up-and-coming MMA talent who is proving there’s far more to him than meets the eye.
What began with an early-morning workout at CIT Performance Institute later transitioned to Heartfelt Arena, where Cameron prepared for Versus 11 Fight Night in a role quite different from what many might expect.
Contrary to popular belief, Cameron wasn’t fighting on this particular night; instead, he was one of the event’s organizers, diligently working behind the scenes.
The journey stretched over two days instead of the usual one, as I couldn’t resist capturing every behind-the-scenes moments leading up to and during the event.
Throughout my time shadowing Cameron, I discovered a young athlete who carries himself with the same poise outside the cage as he does within it.
He’s not just a competent fighter; he’s equally at ease in front of the camera and behind the microphone. His dedication to perfecting his craft—and his generosity in sharing it—left me both inspired and grateful.
A huge thank you to Cameron for allowing me a glimpse into a day of his life.
